This section contains extracts and accounts
relating to Quorn in both world wars. It includes many photographs
of Quorn service men and women, information about the American 82nd
Airborne Division who were based in Quorn in WW2, transcriptions of
names from the war memorial (including when and where they died) ,and
many other pieces of interesting information relating to life in Quorn
during wartime.
There are also references to the Boer and Crimea wars. As with so many other towns and villages, Quorn had its quota of war heroes and tales of courage, valour and self-sacrifice which should not be forgotten.
