The Thatch

The original postcard is lodged with the record office in Leicester. This building, located on Station Road and is one of the best know in the village. In previous incarnations it has been a sweet shop, bicycle shop, butcher's shop and restaurants. Originally it was three 16th century cottages. In the cobbled yard at the rear, there were stables, over 400 years old and a hand pump.
