Date: Monday 26th February 2018 - 7.00pm
Venue: St Bartholomew’s Church, Quorn.
The invention of a machine to replicate handmade lace took over 200 years to evolve. Its arrival brought about great changes. The key elements happened right here on our doorstep in Loughborough, Nottingham and their environs. The story is a tale of genius, conflict and migration of the people involved. The talk will involve artefacts that will help bring the story to life.
All are welcome - Members £2.00, Visitors £4.00, coffee, tea and biscuits included.
