Quorn St Bartholomew's Church, main entrance, 1961

This photograph is interesting because it is a rare picture of the main entrance to the Church, before the porch gates were replaced with thick wooden doors. It was taken in 1961, and the gates were replaced in 1967 after the fire in 1965. The doors were paid for by John and Robert Beardsley, who lived at New Quorndon House on High Street, next to Rawlins School.

The only other picture we have of the gates is artefact 353.
