Geoff Kendall takes Quorn '180' trophy

Loughborough Monitor - 1st August 1969

Quorn Conservative Club D, captained by D Reeves (holding trophy) were one of the teams to receive trophies at the Quorn Charities League presentation held at the Conservative Club on Monday night.

Highlight of the evening was Geoff Kendall's success in the Mrs Rodgers 180 Cup fought out between 11 marksmen. Will Adlard and Colin Merrill looked set for a tie on 207 until Geoff notched his cup winning 240 with his second attempt and only one man to go.

League chairman Len Sharpe took charge of proceedings and president W J B Beardsley marshalled the prizegiving. Terry Noon received the John Bradley Silver Rose Bowl for the sixth time and Len Sharpe and A Towell lined up for the Pairs Cup for the second successive year.
