Disappointment for Quorn Bride

Loughborough Echo - 20th February 1942

Much sympathy is being felt in Quorn for Miss Shonk, who lives on the Orchard Estate, and whose wedding was to have taken place at the Parish Church on Saturday. All preparations had been made, but when the time came the bridegroom, Pte. Blyth, was not there, and a telephone call resulted in a reply that he had been ordered abroad, and so was unable to come to his wedding.
