Quorn Primary School class of top infants

Margaret Harvey was at the school from 1951- 1956, her first teaching post. At the start of her career Stan Gaylon was the headmaster, and later Jack Briers

Margaret Harvey states "I think that this was taken in Spring 1956. I remember some names but do not want to say as I would hate to hurt anyone's feelings! If you show it to one or two old pupils that are still in the area I am sure that you will get a lot of names.

My time at Quorn was the only time that I taught in a village school and I always look back with great affection as it being one of the happiest times of my teaching years.

I would love to hear from any of my old pupils, tell them that I am still going strong at 79 years and I am very involved with Rainbows, both as an ambassador and as a fund raiser using my art work to produce the money."

The little girl, third from the left on the front row is Cynthia Lidierth (now Pitchford). Cynthia thinks this photograph may be a little earlier than 1956.
