Quorn Methodist Football Club 1940

In 1940 the team beat Leicester City 3-2 at Filbert Street to win the Leicestershire Senior Cup.

The Senior Cup-winning team on 27.04.1940 was composed of: Jones, Kent, Boyer, Clish, Watson, Ward, Pervin, Wykes, Jack Lee, Len Sutton, Jollands, so all are likely to be on this photograph.

Jack Lee (later LCFC, Derby County, Coventry City & England) scored twice (once from a penalty), and Len Sutton once in the 3-2 victory over a very young Leicester City Colts side
