New Scoreboard for Cricket Club 1969

Loughborough Monitor - 19th September 1969

OWZAT! - That's what 86 year old Mrs Ellen Ball seemed to be saying after presenting Quorn Cricket Club with a new scoreboard bought out of her first prize winnings in the Monitor 'Where's the Ball' competition. Mrs Ball, of 4 Loughborough Road, Quorn, has been a keen supporter since her son, Ted, began to play. Now her grandsons Alan and Denis belong to the club, of which she has been made a life member. The scoreboard was received by the club president, Mr Albert Sweet, who stands behind her.
