Volvo coach for Howlett and Son 1974

Loughborough Echo - 15th March 1974

Volvo coach for Howlett and Son

The first Volvo B58 coach to be sold in Leicestershire was delivered to G Howlett and Son (Quorn) Ltd last week. Supplied by Volvo coach distributors for England and Wales, Yeates Distributors Ltd, this 11 metre, 53 seater Plaxton Panorama Elite III coach will have a dual role for Leicestershire's largest coach operator. It will be employed on general coach hire and also operate stage carriage and express services.

Howletts run summer express services from Leicester to Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough, York, Whitby, Saltburn and Redcar, together with daily stage carriage services between Loughborough, Quorn, Barrow and Sileby.

Seen here taking delivery of the new luxury coach is Howletts managing director, Mr T A Noon (right) with Mr R G Bennett, group sales director of Yeates Distributors Limited.
