Wright's Christmas Party 1976

24th December 1976

Children of employees of M Wright and Sons, Quorn, had an enjoyable time at a party held in the canteen.

The party was organised by Mrs Margaret Lane, with Mrs Dorothy Lidierth (3rd from right) who worked in Wright's factory canteen, Mrs Dorothy Bignall and Mrs May Bellwood-worth as helpers. There was a gathering of 30, and games and a disco were arranged. The manager of Wright's, Mr David Williams, acted as Father Christmas.

In the middle of the photo are Julie Long and her brother Tim (with hands on shoulders).

Andrew Bradshaw was a child at the party and has also supplied this information:
The girl to the left of Dorothy Lidierth is Caroline Spur who still lives in Quorn. The girl in front of Caroline is my sister - Lynda Bradshaw. The boy in between Julie Long and Lynda is me - Andrew Bradshaw. My youngest Sister - Emma, is the young girl at the very front.
