Couple in garden of Brook House, Quorn 1950s

Granny Ainsworth (grandmother to Iris Wilcox) and Norah Folkes in the garden of Brook House looking towards Quorn Cross & Wrights factory. 1950?s.

The building behind the trees far left is The White Horse and those to the right of the pub still exist. The mill buildings further to the right have been demolished and the land is now a housing development.

Brook House was sited in the area now known as Hall Leys, off Leicester Road, opposite the Memorial Garden and across Buddon Brook.
