Leon W Vassar from Oklahoma served in the 1st Squad as a Machine gunner with Hans Frey. Clyde F Greene served in the 1st Platoon Mortar Squad under Sgt Robert S Ballard. Both paratroopers made 4 combat jumps with H Co 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment.
