US soldier Robert E Coddington, Camp Quorn 1944

Robert E Coddington was a good trooper who was often found on patrol in No Mans Land, or enemy territory. Cruise recalls being on a patrol with Coddington in Normandy in the area called Blanchelande near La Haye du Puits where we left our positions off Hill 131, and returned safely. Coddington was killed in action on patrol in Holland on September 22, 1944, along with several others from H Company.
