Dedication of Quorn Trees

Loughborough Monitor - 9th May 1952

Major Norman E Pehrson, Army Attache at the United States Embassy in London, inspects the Boy Scouts who took part in the parade at Quorn on Saturday before the ceremonial dedication of an avenue of lime trees to the memory of American paratroopers stationed at Quorn and killed in action.

Note, the people are (from left to right): Ex Police Constable Bill (William) Norman, US Major Norman E Pehrson, David Edwards (scout), Mike Hughes (scout master), David Worsnip (scout), George Lee (scout), and Brian Gibbons (scout).
