Postcard of Leicester Road, Quorn

A parade along Leicester Road. The photo is taken looking towards the centre of the village. The two cottages (from left to right) are now numbers 70 and 72 Leicester Road, next to what is now the Quorn Country Hotel.

The postcard is unused, but from the clothes, it probably dates from about 1910.

In the background, on the left can be seen the King William IV public house. The pierrots and clowns are wearing masks and there is a brass band playing behind them.

See Artefact 1353 for what is believed to be the same parade.
