Quorn, the Farnhams and a tangled tale - The Field, 1986
George Farnham was the last member of the historic family to reside in Quorn and would leave the village in the 1990's however, a few years before leaving, in 1986 a reporter from a magazine visited Quorn House to write about the house and family and to record the house in photographs. The work was published in the 15th of February 1986 edition of the popular monthly country lifestyle magazine ‘The Field’, as part of a series ‘Family Seats’, number 71 was ‘Quorn, the Farnhams and a tangled tale’. The article provides an interesting insight into the Farnham family and includes photographs of the hall taken in 1986 and as it was in the 1880’s. It has been transcribed with thanks, to the British Newspaper Archive.
