Iron Age and Roman evidence in Quorn

During the summer of 2023, archaeologists excavated an area near the end of Flesh Hovel Lane in Quorn. The Fieldworker, the newsletter of the Leicestershire Fieldworkers, in their September 2023 edition (issue 308) reported that they had found some small iron age enclosures and the remains of a large Roman timber building.

There have been relatively few significant major archaeological finds in Quorn, so it is important that this one is recorded here.
