The Slabs footpath in flood – Then and Now

The Slabs footpath runs between Quorn and Barrow to the north of Quorn Hall, near to the River Soar. As it is low lying and part of the flood plain, it still floods during periods of very heavy rain.

The older photograph was taken in the 1920s and the modern image was captured in 2020 by Dennis Marchant of Quorn Local History Group.
