The wedding of Lucy Gartshore and Walter Eli Sutton, 1920

On 22nd May 1920, Lucy Gartshore married Walter Eli Sutton. Lucy lived at what is now 88 Barrow Road with her parents Edwin and Sarah Gartshore. Her grandfather George Gartshore and father Edwin were both blacksmiths, with George having come to Quorn to serve the Quorn Hunt. She was the seventh child in a family of nine children. Walter was the son of Henry and Anne Sutton and lived at 25 Nursery Lane. Both Lucy and Walter worked at Wright’s factory.
