Machine shop at M. Wright and Sons, Quorn, early 1920s

In the 1920s the machines were belt driven, feeding off overhead line-shafting. As well as the lathes it looks as though there may be forge in the far right corner.

The man at the front on the left left is Wilfrid Mee and his brother Charles Percy Mee (known as Percy) is standing right at the back, wearing a shirt, tie and dark jacket, turning slightly to the right as you look at the photograph. It is thought that he was a foreman or manager of the workshop at this time.
