M Wright and Sons, Quorn - Centenary Celebration, 1960 - Programme

M Wright and Sons, elastic webbing manufacturers, started in Leicester in 1860 and moved to Quorn in 1870. Their centenary celebrations were held on 16th June 1960, in a huge marquee on a field on School Lane, next to the cottages that stand opposite the old Quorn National School. Guests were treated to a meal, cabaret and dancing. The file contains one of the souvenir programmes. For a photograph of the marquees in the field see see Artefact 2437.
