Quorn Baptist Church Christian Endeavour Group, early 1900s

The Baptist Church in Quorn has always had a large following since they came to the village in 1760. These two photographs show the Christian Endeavour group outside the Baptist Chapel in the early 1900s.

The top photograph was taken by William Shuttlewood who ran the chemist’s shop on High Street. He was only in the village from 1905 to 1910, which together with the dress, confirms the period.

The lower photograph has been dated as 1910.
