Raven Cottage, 31 Meeting Street, Quorn – House deeds/timeline

Property deeds are a valuable source of local history information, but since land registration on property transfer became compulsory, the old paper deeds are technically no longer required and are being lost.

June and Ian Dawkins from Raven Cottage (31 Meeting Street, Quorn), were kind enough to lend Sue Templeman their deeds, from which the attached timeline was produced. This was supplemented with information from census returns, wills, electoral rolls, burial records and various photographs.
