Silhouettes – Farnham family, Quorn

These three silhouettes are about 5 inches (13 cm) tall and are members of the ancient Farnham family of Quorn.

1) Ann daughter of Edward Farnham born 1729. She married Noah Bolaine of Canterbury and died 1816. She was buried in the Farnham Chantry at Quorn. Her parents were Edward and Easter Farnham.

2) Revd William Farnham of Quorn. Born 1738, died in1784, unmarried. His parents were Edward and Easter Farnham.

3) Edward Basil Farnham of Quorn. MP for North Leicestershire 1837 to 1859. Born 1799, married 1851, died 1879. He was the grandson of Edward and Easter Farnham and being the eldest son of the eldest son, he inherited Quorn House and all the family assets.
