Eva and James Pell, 75 Meeting Street

Can you help with any more names for the people in these pictures, or do you know the occasions?

These two photographs, thought to have been taken in the 1960s, were sent in by Angie Cook, who is related through her grandmother to the Pell and Brown families. Eva Pell (nee Brown) and James Henry Pell (Angie’s grandparents) lived at what is now 75 Meeting Street from the time of their marriage in 1935. James died in 1971, aged 59 and Eva continued to live in the family home until about 1986. She died in her native Nottinghamshire in 1992 aged eighty.
