Enjoying the sunshine! Quorn 1920s

This photograph was taken on the Greens at Barrow, which is within the parish of Quorn, as you walk to Barrow across the Slabs footpath. Barrow Bridge can be seen in the background, together with the end of some cottages that have since been demolished.

The family are the Wintertons from Sarson Street (Quorn). The lady fifth from the left, is thought to be Millicent Jane Winterton and the lady sitting next to her eating an ice cream, maybe her younger sister Lucy.

Millicent went on to marry John Sharp in 1937. Their son, Chris provided this super photograph.
