Soar Valley News, April 1977

The Soar Valley News was a four page, black and white community newspaper/newsletter type publication, which covered Quorn, Barrow, Sileby, Mountsorrel and Rothley. It provided local news and gave details of up and coming events.

This edition included an article about a performance by Rawlins Big Band and stories of Quorn floods as recalled by Jack Winterton and Betty Cryer.

Whilst Quorn Village On-line Museum probably wouldn’t want to include every issue of the Soar Valley News in its entirety, it was felt that at least one complete issue would be interesting – and if anyone else has any more editions, it would be great to include items relevant to Quorn.
