St Bartholomew's National School, 1910

Very little was known about this photograph until Artefact 1881 came to light. It shows Quorn Primary School and was taken on the same day in the summer of 1910, which is evident as some of the children appear in both pictures and are wearing the same clothes.

The teachers are the headmaster, Charles Adams and his daughter Ethel Adams.

The girls on the front row are (left to right): E Corah, Elsie Heaps (or Heap), Vena Grain, F Clark, Alice Taylor, Martha Sutton, Lillian Adcock.

Thanks to Anthony Cove for very kindly spotting and buying the photograph in Artefact 1881 and giving it to the museum; also to Aaron Thomas whose eagle eyes spotted the connection between the two pictures.

See also Artefact 2384.
