Misses E & M White – Homemade cakes price list

This price list dates from about 1910. Ethel and Muriel White were the daughters of George and Mary Ann White and lived at Rose Cottage in Quorn. The house has since been demolished and there are three houses on the site today (21, 21a and 21b Loughborough Road).

Ethel and Muriel had a small home based business, making cakes and selling them. Ethel would have been in her twenties and Muriel in her teens. It is likely that the Ethel would have given up the venture when she married in September 1912.
