Urban District Council Election - 1896

Loughborough Herald - 26th March 1896

Mr George White, the returning officer, received the following nominations for the three seats on this Council:- Mr David Smith Hack, boot maker, Quorn; Mr Wilfrid Johnson Meakin, gentleman, Soar House, Quorn; Mr Thomas Pepper, farmer and coal merchant, Quorn; and Mr James Royland Robinson, gentleman, The Laurels, Quorn. The last-named, however, withdrew his candidature, the result being that the three retiring members have been re-elected without opposition.
