Mr H.B. Hope, of 5, Castledine Avenue, Quorn, is one of the first motor-cyclists to be awarded the road safety badge of the Auto Cycle Union under a scheme inaugurated this year. He is 27 years of age and is employed as a photographer by a Leicester firm.
An ardent member of Loughborough and District Motor-cycle Club, Mr Hope gained his award, one of 200 being issued, against keen competition. Road behaviour, machine maintenance and previous records are some of the factors taken into account by the panel of judges.
