Evacuated to Quorn during WW2 – one boy’s story

Barry Bradley from London got in touch with Quorn On-line Museum early in 2012. He was evacuated to Quorn during WW2 and stayed with George and Ethel Wood on Mansfield Street. This is his unique and fascinating story as told in his own words.

This article appeared in the Quorndon Magazine in Summer/Autumn 2012. After it was published, George and Ethel's grandson, Gary Wood, got in touch with the museum team. He kindly provided some extra details which have been added at the end of the item.
