The new Cradock Drive estate - 1926

Loughborough Echo - 3rd December 1926

The hollow square formed by Woodhouse Lane, Chaveney Road, Meeting Street and the High road, has hitherto afforded a pleasant view to those who live in the houses on the roads mentioned, incidentally adding to the various rental values. This view will soon fade away in favour of bricks and mortar inside the square. A roadway will shortly cut in from Meeting Street, while a broad footpath has already been cut in a bee-line from "Cradock's meadow" to Chaveney Road, making the cricketer wonder where he is to play next summer. The situation is causing no little questioning to cricket lovers.
