Funeral of George Draper - 1925

Loughborough Monitor and Herald - 3rd December 1925

On Friday Mr George Draper, who had died at the age of 25 years, was buried in the parish churchyard. Deceased served in the Inns of Court O.T.C. and held a commission in the Middlesex Regiment. He was gassed in 1918, and never fully recovered.

Amongst those present at the funeral were Mr and Mrs Fred Draper, Mr and Mrs Ronald Draper, Messrs Oliver and John Draper (brothers) and Miss M Draper (sister). Deceased was the youngest son of Mr Fred Draper, who well known and respected in Quorn, as a member of the Urban District Council, and the Barrow Board of Guardians. The bearers were Messrs J Orton, T Pilkington, A Fewkes and F Price.
