Floods on Leicester Road, early 1970s

These pictures are taken at Quorn Cross, on Leicester Road in the early 1970s, showing 'Stanley Cottages' houses and shops, ie now numbers 4 to 10 Leicester Road. The floods in the first photograph are at least knee high.

The girl in the second photograph is getting a piggy-back to avoid getting her feet wet!
