Poster for the sale of 'Quorn Cottage' - 1880

This is a poster for the sale of a large house called ‘Quorn Cottage’ in 1880. Many large houses in the village at this time were used as hunting boxes. The sale was held at the White Horse pub.

Quorn Cottage is now 1 Woodhouse Road, on the corner of Loughborough Road and Woodhouse Road. It is currently (2012), occupied by Aqua the hairdressers. It is now a double fronted property, but the right-hand side (as you look at it from the front) was added around 1990.
