Quorn, Mountsorrel, Rothley Bypass Options

This document was used to set out the two options for the Quorn, Mountsorrel, Rothley Bypass, prior to it being built in 1991. The more Southerly green route was eventually rejected, mainly because it was considered to have too great an impact on the environment. The blue route required more engineering work due to being in the flood plain of the River Soar, but was considered to be less damaging to the surrounding countryside.
