Local will - Mrs Catherine Farnham of Quorn

Loughborough Echo 25th February 1938

Mrs. Catherine Matilda Annie Georgina Farnham, of Quorn House, Quorn, and formerly of The Heights, Witley, Surrey, who died on October 25th last, aged 78 years, widow of William Edward John Basil Farnham, left estate of the gross value of £38,939 1s. 11d., with net personality £24,339 7s. 6d. (Estate duty, £4,909 17s. 5d.).

Probate of her will dated July 18th 1935, has been granted to the Public Trustee and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lily Edith E. Nihell-Preau, of Quorn House. She left £500 to her grandson Ronald Godfrey Farnham and £200 each to her grandchildren, Judith Catherine and Edward George Adrian Farnham; her residence and her household effects not otherwise disposed upon trust for her grandson, Edward George Adrian Farnham and his heirs in tail; and appointed certain settled funds to her three grandchildren.

Subject to a few specific bequests, she left the residue of her property to her daughter-in-law, Lily Edith Nihell-Preau.
