Death of John Saunders in Canada

Loughborough Echo 12th October 1945

Referring to the late Mr. John Saunders, formerly of Quorn, whose death was recently reported in these columns, one who knew him writes thus: “If you want to see his monument look at the Chancel screen in Quorn Church.” When he went to Canada, Mr. Farnham said, “Why does a man who can carve like that want to go to Canada and be a farmer.
