Death of Mr Edmund Renals - 1919

Loughborough Herald - 2nd January 1919

We regret to record the death of Mr Edmund Renals of Woodthorpe View, Barrow-road which took place on Dec 27th at the age of 76 years. He was the son of the late Mr John Renals, and for many years occupied a farm at Woodthorpe, retiring some four years ago. He was one of the best known farmers in the district, and held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. He belonged to a long line of farmers, his family having occupied land on the Beaumanor estate for 500 years or thereabouts. The funeral took place on Tuesday at the Loughborough cemetery, Rev R F Fuller officiating. In addition to the relatives of the deceased, a number of friends were present.
