Quorn Quarrymen charged with assault - 1873

Loughborough Advertiser - January 2nd 1873

Before E Warner, H Packer & Rev R Burton

Charles Paget, John Bancroft, Edward Stocks, Charles Reed and Benjamin Rue, all of Quorndon, quarrymen, were charged with assaulting William Paulson of Mountsorrel, surgeon, at Quorndon on 26th ult. Reed and Rue were discharged, but the other three were convicted and committed for 28 days hard labour.
