Quorn man reported missing - 1942

Loughborough Echo - 6th March 1942

Private Harold Edward Brewin, son of Mrs Brewin, 25 Nursery-lane, Quorn, is reported missing. Having served in Malay, he proceeded to Singapore. Pte. Brewin is the son of a soldier, Sergt. Brewin, who served in the Boer and the Great War. He was educated at the Rawlins School, Quorn, and was apprenticed to Mr G Gamble, the builder of Quorn. He has been in the East for two years.
