Portrait of Charles Farnham

This is a Victorian oil painting framed behind glass. The subject is Charles Farnham. He was the youngest son of Edward Basil Farnham and the great uncle of George Farnham, who left Quorn House in the 1990s. Edward Basil Farnham was 63 when Charles was born in 1862.
Charles died early in 1883 whilst in Rome, aged only twenty. The frame appears to be original and the writing on the back says:
“Charles John Farnham son of Edward Basil Farnham of Quorndon in Leic. Died in Rome January 1883”
