News of Quorn prisoner of war - 1945

Loughborough Echo - 5th January 1945

News of Quorn Prisoner of War

News has been received of Pte. Harold Edward Brewin, who was taken prisoner at the fall of Singapore. His parents, Mr and Mrs Brewin, Nursery-lane, Quorn, have received two cards from No. 2 Camp, Thailand, and one from Osaka Camp, in which he says he is working for pay and is well.

Pte Brewin attended Quorn Grammar School. He is 25 years of age and is the son of an old soldier who served through the Boer War and the Great War.

Pte. Brewin has been in the Far East nearly five years.
