SINGULAR DEATH
An inquest was held at the Bull’s Head Inn, Quorn, on Saturday evening before Mr Coroner Deane, relative to the death of Selina Barnett, aged 48 wife of Wm Barnett, quarryman. The evidence showed that the deceased was in her usual health on Thursday, and was working all day. On Friday morning her husband went to work leaving her in bed and she did not seem very well. Her step-son went to see her about eight o’clock, and she than said she was all right, but at a quarter to nine when he went up again he found she had fallen out of bed. He fetched in a neighbour, Jane Behoe, but Mrs Barnett was dead.
Dr Unitt was of the opinion that while reaching out of bed the deceased fainted, and died from syncope.
Verdict accordingly.
