The old Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, about 1905
The old Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on High Street was built in 1822. In 1907 the new Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was built in front of the old Chapel, which was then used as a school room.
Thomas Dexter, writing of Quorn in the 1890s:
" Then we come to the Wesleyan Chapel which was a typical nonconformist building of the period in which it was, a very plain building standing quite a long way back from the road with two doors and a row of three windows above, the date, given on a tablet on the wall was 1822. The present church building is on what was the forecourt of the old chapel which was incorporated into the church as school rooms and assembly hall with other necessary accommodation."
Quorn Methodist Church has now been converted into apartments.
