Quorn Family link with St Bartholomew's

Loughborough Monitor - 1st May 1959.

The Westley family who live at 51 Farnham Street, have a strong link with St Bartholomew's Church and provide a churchwarden, the infants' Sunday school superintendent, and a Sunday school teacher and a bellringer.

Mr Harold Westley has been people's warden at the church for six years. A joiner by trade, he is treasurer of the Church of England Men's Society branch and a member of the parochial church council.

His wife, Annie, has lived in Quorn all her life. Superintendent of the infants' Sunday school for a year and a half, she was previously a teacher and has been a member of the Mothers' Union since 1935. Their daughter, Pearl, now Mrs Peberdy has been a Sunday school teacher since she was 14. Younger daughter Anne, who is 15, has been a bellringer for four years and now works at the Two Crescent Works, Quorn.
