Brook House, Quorn

The property was bought from the Parnham family by Mr Farnham in 1847, most of the land being bought by Mr Herrick of Beaumanor. Messrs Facer brothers offered two storeys of Brook House to Belgian refugees during the First World War. Evacuees were housed there during the Second World War. It was demolished in 1963 and Hall Leys was built on the site. The photograph shows the house in rather poor condition prior to demolition.
