Apple Tree pub, Quorn

The Apple Tree pub started as a beer house, probably in the 1870s. The first positive reference found so far is in 1880.

The Apple Tree sign below was designed by Quorn resident Terry Cowlishaw in the early 1980s, after Terry and June Hammond had moved from the Royal Oak to the Apple Tree. Was pub life more vibrant then? Terry recalls that whilst at the Royal Oak, Terry and June organised a pub trip to Paris, which was enjoyed by all!
